About the project
Over 9 days, 36 young people from 5 European countries will take part in an Erasmus+ youth exchange focused on critical reflection and personal decision-making around food consumption and its social, environmental, and economic impact. Through non-formal education methods, participants will explore topics like mindful eating, consumerism, food production and distribution policies, and their connection to the UN Sustainable Development Goals (2030 Agenda).
The programme includes intercultural activities, debates, role-plays, simulations, creative workshops, local visits, and group reflection sessions — all aimed at encouraging active participation, critical thinking, and cultural exchange.
Main topics:
- Personal choice and food ethics (veganism, vegetarianism, and other diets)
- Consumption and social responsibility
- Food production policies and consumerism
- Food traceability, safety, and labelling
- The 2030 Agenda and sustainability
Venue
Iscar is a small town in the province of Valladolid, Castile and León, Spain, known for its medieval castle (built in 939) and long tradition of door manufacturing. Participants will stay in a comfortable hostel with free Wi-Fi, spacious meeting and dining rooms, and outdoor areas.
Who can apply
4 participants per country from Bosnia, Bulgaria, Greece, and Italy:
- 3 young people aged 18–30
- 1 group leader (no age limit)
- All participants must be over 18
Your tasks during the exchange:
- Present your country and organization
- Share info on your country's situation regarding the main topic
- Bring traditional food and drinks for cultural night
- Bring your country's flag
